Kurpfalz - the Palatinate

The Palatinate is one of the most varied regions in the whole of Germany. You can discover the boundless richness of the Palatinate on a trip along the Baden wine route or on the Neckar from romantic Heidelberg into the renowned Neckar valley.

Walk or cycle through the Odenwald forest or along the Rhine plain, accept an invitation to colourful markets, to wine, folk, or musical festivals and other cultural events, wander through picturesque lanes and enjoy the happiness of the moment.

The region is synonomous with many beautiful, charming, enchanting aspects, joie de vivre, originality and pristine nature. Many castles, parks and gardens characterise the landscape.

Asparagus is the region’s most well-known speciality, which should always be accompanied by wine according to the locals. It goes does all the better with a glass of Rielsing or Grauburgunder from the Baden wine route.
